Step-by-Step Tutorial: how to download youtube videos (using Java)
Introduction: Having some trouble trying to download youtube videos? You've come to the right place. This step-by-step tutorial will show you exactly what to do to download youtube videos, and will also explain problems you may encounter.
Step 1: Get the URL of your YouTube video, and then go to the ClipNabber homepage. The site will look something like this:

Step 2: Paste the URL in the input box where it says to paste the URL.

Step 3: Click on the big Nab button. A box will drop down with a loading sign, and a message that Java is being used to retrieve the video.

Step 4: Because Java is being used, a security certificate will pop up looking like the image below. You need to click trust, for it to work correctly. This allows us to use Java (a computer programming language) to get the video links.

Step 5: If you don't want to have to click "trust" every single time, just click on show certificate and there is a checkbox option for the browser to remember that you trust ClipNabber for java access in the future.

Step 6: Now three download options appear, so click on the one you want to download. In this case I clicked on MP4 which is the most flexible video format.

Step 7: The video file starts downloading automatically in the browser download manager - in this case Firefox.
Conclusion: You are all done! You now know exactly how to download youtube videos!
